I have the Cox Security which uses McAfee. When I launch the software, i get on on-screen alert telling me to turn on real-time scanning. I turn it on, and the screen confirms it is on. I exit out of McAfee, and when I relaunch to go back in, it tells me that real-time scanning is off and to turn it on. What is going on with this flaky software?

Oct 29, 2017 · Installed free McAfee Multi Access Internet Security Suite through my AOL premium account. It used to work great but about a week ago I noticed a red exclamation point, indicating "Real Time Scanning is not working". When I check my settings it says It is turned on, however, when I look at my preferences it says it is ON. See screenshots below.
